Why are bagged vacuum cleaners so good for families sensitive to allergens? 

Bagged vacuum cleaners are ideal for families sensitive to allergens as they trap the dust and dirt in a bag for mess free disposal. Simply drop the bag into the bin for no touch, plume-free disposal.  

Why is the Captura® so good for families sensitive to allergens? 

The Captura® features our AllergenPro™ Dust Management System with HEPA13 filtration to capture microscopic dust from around your home and seal in 99.9% of dirt and allergens*  

*According to EN 60312-1 at 0.3 to 10 microns. 

What is the main benefit of a lift away style vacuum cleaner? 

Lift away style vacuum cleaners are perfect for above-floor cleaning. By detaching the pod your vacuum cleaner converts into a portable handheld, so you can easily clean your stairs, furniture and up high without the added weight of the floor nozzle. When activating Lift Off mode, the weight of the Captura® vacuum cleaner drops from 7.2kg to just 3.6kg. 

I have a large staircase what is the maximum reach? 

The Captura® has a working reach of approximately 12 metres. A 9m power cord is combined with a 2.74m stretch hose. 

How does the BagDrop™ feature benefit families sensitive to allergens? 

The BagDrop™ mechanism releases the dirty bag directly into the bin at the simple push of a button. Designed to reduce physical contact with dirt and allergens, the bag can be released from the chamber without touching it. The self-sealing dust bags also reduce the risk of particles becoming airborne when emptying. No plume and no messy clean up. 

Why is the WrapFree™ brush roll so important? 

Removing trapped hair and threads is one of the most disliked maintenance tasks. WrapFre™ actively removes any wrapped hair or threads from the brush roll when vacuuming, resulting in almost no maintenance being required. Reducing the need to touch the brush roll to clear any dirt and allergens. 

I have a long-haired dog, will the pet tool work on these hairs? 

The Captura® features a WrapFree™ Brush roll which automatically removes any trapped hair as you vacuum. For extra peace of mind, our Pet Edition includes a handheld Pet Mate attachment for removing pet hair from upholstery or harder to reach areas. 

I empty my bagless vacuum cleaner once a week, how does 1 dust bag last 2 months? 

The Captura’s exclusive ActiveFlow™ technology pulls the dirt into the bottom of the dust bag and compacts the debris from the bottom up meaning you empty it far less than a standard bagless dust bin. The TruView™ indicator will let you know how full the dust bag is at all times. 

Is the brush roll removable? 

The motorised floor head is fitted with a WrapFree™ brush roll which cannot be removed. However, this actively removes any wrapped hair or threads from the brush roll when vacuuming, resulting in almost no maintenance being required. 

Will this vacuum cleaner damage my hard floors? 

No. The Captura® features an all-floor cleaning head. Manually power on the brush roll to drive nylon bristles deep into carpets or switch off the brush bar to vacuum delicate or hard floors. 

Will the suction power decrease over time? 

This happens with all vacuum cleaners regardless of if they are bagged or cyclonic vacuum cleaners. Filters will need to be cleaned or replaced to maintain optimal performance. The Captura® has a few extra design features to help provide a more consistent cleaning experience. It utilises ActiveFlow™ technology to maximise suction performance as the bag fills and our TruView™ dust bag fill indicator lets you know when to change the bag.  

Is it easy to set up this vacuum cleaner? 

Yes. The Vacmaster Captura® requires no tools during assembly. You just ‘Click and Go’. It is supplied with an easy-to-follow quick start guide and our customer service team are available if needed. 

Is there a good supply of spares and accessories? 

Yes. We offer a wide range of spares and accessories on our website.  

Can I use universal dust bags with this model?  

The Captura® utilises a unique dust bag design which supports our BagDrop™ technology. To ensure the correct function of the vacuum cleaner we recommend using the official replacement dust bags which are available on our website. 

Are the filters washable? 

Yes, the Captura® is fitted with a washable HEPA13 filter. We recommend the filter is checked and cleaned regularly and replaced when showing signs of wear or damage. Additional information can be found in the product instructions. 

Is this vacuum cleaner energy efficient? 

Yes. The Captura® meets current UK legislation which ensures that all vacuum cleaners sold in the UK are energy efficient. It is powered by an 800W motor with an annual energy consumption of 26.1kWh/Year.  

Is the packaging recyclable?  

Yes. 100% of the product packaging is now widely recyclable in the UK*. We have replaced the single use plastic with protective paper inserts.  

*The recyclability value of the product packaging does not refer to any attached regulator labelling. 

What is the returns policy for this vacuum?

How long is the product guarantee? 

Your Vacmaster appliance is automatically covered by an initial limited 2-year (24 month) guarantee against material and/or workmanship defects from the date of purchase. An extended 1-year (12 months) will be applied on top of the initial manufacturer’s guarantee period upon registering the product on this website providing a total of 3-years (36 month) guarantee period at no additional cost. The Respira® Lift Off has a working reach of approximately 11 metres. A 9m power cord is combined with a 2m stretch hose. The Respira®  Pet has a working reach of approximately 12 metres. A 9m power cord is combined with a 3m stretch hose.
