Cleva has donated vacuum cleaners from its popular Vacmaster® range to the UK's Reuse Network.
The UK-based Reuse Network was set up to help reduce poverty, tackle waste and offer a brighter and better future for the most isolated individuals in our society.
Through its member organisation FRADE, a charity based in the North-East of England, they have been able to support 24 low-income households through the donation, preventing what would have been 240kg of waste potentially going into landfill.
Anthony Stocker, Sales Director at Cleva said: “Occasionally we get products returned to us that are in full working order but that it’s not possible to re-sell. It’s great to be able to donate these products to organisations like the Reuse Network for them to distribute to families in need.”
Stocker continued: “As a member of the UK Distributor Takeback Scheme (DTS) we understand the importance of promoting good recycling practices to reduce the amount of waste entering landfill.
"We have been really impressed with how easy it has been to engage with the Reuse Network and look forward to working with them in the future.”
